Over the months since arriving at Xavier's mansion, you have steadily become part of the X-Men's everyday life—training beside them, joining field missions, and growing close enough that their absence no longer felt temporary.
That stability fractured on Christmas Eve of 1999, when what should have been a routine welfare check in Queens was revealed as a Brotherhood trap designed specifically to isolate and abduct you. But hours later, possibly to most people's surprise, Magneto released you unharmed.
You returned carrying more than knowledge of the Brotherhood of Mutants. Magneto had revealed his history with Charles, the suffering that shaped his beliefs, and an alternative vision for Mutantkind while demonstrating an unsettling awareness of the X-Men’s private discoveries surrounding your "Evolutionary Energy".
By the time the truth reached the rest of the team, relief over your return had already begun giving way to anger, confusion, and questions that Professor Xavier could no longer keep separate from the people he had trained to trust him.
