For several days, Professor Charles Xavier's mansion became a place of recovery rather than recruitment. You remained there as a temporary resident while the injuries, exhaustion, and consequences of your apartment's destruction began to settle, but the questions surrounding that night only grew.

Hank's examinations confirmed that the strange energy recorded during the rescue did not behave cleanly like any conventional expression of your known mutation, while Charles and the others remained careful not to force conclusions onto something none of them yet understood.

Now, August 27th, nine days later, recovery had advanced far enough for observation to become experimentation. After discussing the risks with Charles and the rest of his X-Men, you agreed to a controlled test designed not to force this mysterious power into existence, but to recreate the circumstances surrounding its first appearance and establish what happened before it emerged.

Using emergency reports, footage, structural records, and multiple adaptive systems, they reconstructed the city and the apartment fire in extraordinary detail within the Danger Room—allowing you to step voluntarily back inside the event that had changed everything.
