In the hours after you returned to Xavier’s estate carrying the shattered remains of Magneto’s helmet, attention turned immediately toward the wounded and the damage left behind. You and the others were treated for your injuries while Jean Grey remained under closer medical observation after the unexplained fiery psychic eruption that had nearly overwhelmed her.

A later search of the Westchester quarry found the battlefield exactly where you had left it—the damaged terrain and reinforced restraints still bearing the marks of your fight—but Magneto himself was nowhere to be found. With no body, prisoner, or clear trail to follow, his whereabouts became another uncertainty left hanging over the X-Men.

The next two days were spent recovering and putting Xavier’s estate back together. Damaged sections of the mansion and underground headquarters were secured, debris was cleared from the grounds, and repairs began wherever the team could manage them, while Jean gradually stabilized enough to wake and recover in the medical bay, even as questions surrounding her sudden manifestation remained unanswered.

Beyond the estate, however, public discussion of the X-Men continued spreading after their exposure in Brooklyn, leaving the team to recover from one crisis while beginning to face an entirely different reality: the world now knew they existed.
