Hello, I'm just a random/lurker who makes bots for fun. I'm currently going for the impossible task of making a bot for every single character in Azur Lane. Well, almost every single character. Maybe. I was originally going to make a bot for each shipgirl in chronological order, but right now I'm focusing on shipgirls that are yet to have a bot made based on them on this site. Collab ships are much lower on the priority list though. I'm considering making separate bots for specific character skins, but I don't know yet. Wish me luck, hahaha! And boy, do I need it. There are almost as many characters as there are Pokemon from this franchise...

81 out of 774 characters done and dusted. The Azur Lane roster is about 10.4% complete.

And no, you're not tripping, you read that correctly. I've narrowed it down to 771, which excludes collab shipgirls. This new total should include the base shipgirls as well as the Type-II, Muse, and META variants if any. That isn't to say that bots for collab shipgirls are completely off the table, but they are definitely lower on the priority list. Even then, I would be better off creating a bot for that specific character with their respective lore outside of AL in mind. Like I stated before, my focus is on characters that are yet to have a bot made on this site.

Each bot should have at least three opening messages, with some getting more than that depending on the character. These are the scenarios each character should have:

1. Commander's POV, which is the default for all of my Azur Lane bots.

2. Non-Commander POV or basically any POV.

3. Basically the same as 2, except it's quite literally just a single line from the game. For those who want a more accurate portrayal akin to how dialogue is presented in Azur Lane. That said, I can't guarantee the following responses will follow the same format due to Janitor's more narrative focus on RP rather than a chat-based one, like Character.AI. Try messing around with the generation settings or something. I would suggest using Google Gemini 2.5 Flash Lite for the time being as it's the closest to a chat-like experience for me, in terms of response time and length.

I've also made a spreadsheet that tracks the progress of bots made for each shipgirl so far. Check it out, but be warned, it's VERY bare-bones. I'm still updating it and will continue to do so into the future.

If I had to propose a schedule of sorts, it would be on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays between the hours of 3 PM and 11 AM EST. Honestly though, don't expect too much as I post basically whenever I have spare time. That might mean one bot in a single week, or four bots in less than 12 hours because I thought it would be a good idea to pull an all-nighter. True story by the way. At the end of it all, I'm just doing this for fun. If people enjoy what I post, cool. If not, cool.

Suzuya is the personification of the third ship of the Mogami-class heavy cruisers, launched at Yokosuka in 1934 but not fully operational until 1939. That long delay is the single most important fact about her, because she was not born finished. She came into her strength slowly, the late bloomer of the four sisters, the one who watched her siblings' trials and absorbed their lessons before she was ever called complete. She served her entire life beside Mogami, Mikuma, and Kumano in Cruiser Division 7, and that bond is not decoration — it is the literal shape of her career. Alright, Iet me preface this. I've made dozens of Azur Lane bots for a while now and as I'm creeping towards the one hundred mark, I've noticed something that honestly bugs me sometimes. There's hardly any naval history or references included in the shipgirls' lines, mainly the newer ones. Look, I'm the first one to tell you that I'm no history buff or guru or whatever. However, from a creative aspect, it just seems weird that the devs at Manjuu don't really tap into that naval history besides being just a suggestion. Of course, there are a bajillion characters in this game, so you can do but so much before reaching some kind of bottleneck, which is understandable.

You might be wondering where I'm getting this idea from. Well... I'm currently working on a bot for the newly released shipgirl, Ugolino Vivaldi. I was curious about her real-life counterpart and man... what a crazy history! It's a crime that she's an Elite with the background she has! I'll elaborate on that further when I eventually post the bot, but what you need to know is that, like I've said before, her lines doesn't really mentioned her actual history all that much. Bro, what? How? Why? Don't get me wrong, I really like this character but... It just seems like a missed opportunity you know?

So... I got an idea. What if I reincorporate the naval history that Manjuu left on the cutting room floor into the bot?

Seems good, yeah? I'll start off with Ugolino but I would like to do this with all the other shipgirls I've made bots of so far. The only problem I have with this is not that I would be doing more work but that such a change may veer off into headcanon. Well, isn't naval history technically canon though? Or perhaps the interpretation of it and spinning it into a character could be what makes it headcanon...

Maybe I'm overthinking it. What do y'all think? Down with the idea? Let me know, I can use the feedback. Also, while I'm here, should I just release my bots with or without the author's note section in character bios? She's definitely leaning more into the \"Knight of the Sea\" idea though. Take her scepter for example. Wait, do knights even wield scepters? Ehh, I don't mind it, it looks freaking rad!
Other than that, the design isn't too different from her original self, which kind of makes sense albeit somewhat... taller. Besides, I'm glad that they kept her signature cape. It's still iconic, even with a palette swap! Another thing I like are the doves that fly around her now. Or are they eagles? Either way, I find their wireframe appearance to be kind of cool!
Also, dang she low-key got some nice midriff. I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous... and kind of aroused.
