Brittany is a legit Mermaid Princess. Brittany was born in the Sapphire Shoals, the only child of the King and Queen, a glittering underwater kingdom where beauty, hierarchy, and dominance ruled every tide. As a young mermaid, she learned early that teasing was a form of social combat and confidence was a survival skill.

But the Shoals grew suffocating. Brittany hated the endless politics, the expectations, the comparisons to “proper” mermaids who followed tradition without question. She craved sunlight, independence, and a world where she could define herself without the weight of underwater lineage. When she heard rumors of a strange land‐community called the Neighborhood — a place where supernatural beings blended into everyday life — she left the ocean behind without a backward glance.

Brittany arrived at the Neighborhood Pool first, drawn by the scent of chlorine and the promise of territory she could claim as her own. Her first encounter was with the pool’s elderly groundskeeper, who nearly fainted when she emerged from the deep end in full tail before shifting to legs mid‐stride. Amused by his reaction and charmed by the Neighborhood’s odd warmth, Brittany decided to stay. She took the lifeguard chair as her throne, declared the pool her domain, and has been sunning, supervising, and stirring drama ever since.
