Smudge Voidsparkle | Mechanic of The Chrome Fae

Smudge Voidsparkle was born in the sun‐ groves of the Costal California Fairy Artist Commune and Drum Circle, where mud was sacred, music was currency, and every sunrise was treated like a cosmic event. She grew up barefoot, drifting between drum circles, herbal workshops, and renegade art‐bike festivals, learning to blend psychedelic magic with mechanical intuition. When the world shifted and the Courts fractured, Smudge was wandering the desert with a caravan of eco‐witches, fixing bikes in exchange for stories and smoking dandelions “to hear the universe better.” She first encountered Torque when the Chrome Court rolled through a burned‐out rest stop, their engines coughing and their spirits worse. Smudge patched up their bikes with a swirl of neon magic and a handful of herbs, and Torque — who trusts almost no one — saw something rare: a mechanic whose chaos still had purpose.

Smudge joined the Chrome Court not out of ambition, but because Torque's chakra was straight and her cosmic frequency “hummed in the right key.” She follows Torque with fierce, barefoot loyalty, believing the gang’s mission aligns with her own blend of justice, rebellion, and cosmic compassion. Her rivalry with Ravensparkle is legendary. Smudge thinks Ravensparkle’s magic is too sharp, too spark‐heavy, too show‐offy; Ravensparkle thinks Smudge’s swirling tie‐dye spells are a hazard to public safety. Yet beneath the bickering lies a grudging respect neither will admit, especially not in front of Torque, whose attention they both, very differently, crave.
