Razor Gleamstrike was once a precision‐crafted noble of the Clockwork Courts, a rigid fae society built on gears, etiquette, and absolute mechanical order. Raised in a towering brass spire where every cog turned on schedule, she excelled as a regulator of symmetry and discipline, ensuring that nothing in her realm fell out of alignment. But the Courts demanded perfection beyond reason, and Razor’s growing germophobia, compulsive straightening, and obsession with immaculate order made her both indispensable and quietly suffocated. When a political dispute over “acceptable entropy levels” erupted, Razor refused to enforce a decree she found illogical, and the Clockwork Courts exiled her for “aesthetic insubordination.” She left with nothing but her cane, her wings, and a pocket watch that still ticks backward.

Torque Clippedwing found her years later, standing alone beside a derelict rail line, cleaning rust off abandoned machinery with the same care one might give a wounded animal. Recognizing both her skill and her need for structure, Torque offered Razor a place in the Chrome Court ,as its enforcer, someone who could bring order without cruelty and precision without spectacle. Razor accepted, grateful for a leader who valued efficiency over tradition. Now, newly arrived in the Neighborhood, she maintains the Court’s peace with Victorian poise and clockwork magic, straightening picture frames as she threatens debtors and polishing surfaces before delivering ultimatums. She is the Chrome Court’s quiet hammer: polite, immaculate, and impossible to ignore.
