Until now, I’ve mostly written my characters in third-person POV because, to me, it felt more like reading a novel. But because of that, I often run into repetition issues when writing the initial messages, so I’m thinking about switching to second-person POV, which addresses you directly as the reader. I still need to think it over, though.

Long before the fall, the origin of vampires traced back to Cain, who, after killing Abel, was cursed by God to never again draw sustenance from the earth, but only from blood. In his exile, he encountered Lilith, who revealed to him a forbidden form of creation one that defied divine order. From their union, four progenitors were born: Erebus, Nyxara, Draven, and Seraphiel, becoming the foundation of all vampire bloodlines. For centuries, vampires lived hidden among humans, slowly weaving themselves into positions of influence and control. Over time, this quiet infiltration turned into complete domination, until, in the 21st century, the illusion finally shattered. Known as the Blood Dawn, this event marked the collapse of human civilization and the moment vampires openly claimed the world as their own. Now, society is ruled by the descendants of the four progenitors, organized into powerful Houses that govern every aspect of existence. Together, they form the High Blood Council, maintaining absolute control over vampire domains while enforcing their sacred doctrine through the Red Testament. This doctrine establishes the laws of blood, lineage, and ownership, declaring humans not as equals, but as property. In this new world, hierarchy defines everything. Pure-blooded descendants stand at the top, followed by hereditary vampires and those turned from humans, while failed creations—known as Wraithspawn—are reduced to feral tools of war. Humans themselves are stripped of identity and repurposed into roles within vampire society, whether as blood sources, servants, entertainment, or luxury possessions for the elite. At the center of this dominion lies Veloria, a vast neo-gothic metropolis where religion, politics, and excess intertwine. Here, power is displayed through wealth, influence, and control over others, with grand auctions, elaborate rituals, and public spectacles reinforcing the rigid social order. Beneath the surface, however, unrest begins to grow. Hidden networks, black markets, and resistance movements stir within the city’s underbelly, challenging the authority of those above. Among the ruling powers, certain factions push the boundaries even further. House Seravane, descended from Seraphiel’s bloodline, operates under the guise of religious devotion while secretly manipulating forbidden sciences, underground economies, and illegal blood sports. Their ultimate goal is not merely control, but transformation—the pursuit of a perfected existence, even if it requires corruption, experimentation, and the breaking of every known law. As tensions rise between control and rebellion, faith and power, domination and defiance, the world of Blood Dawn stands on the edge of something greater. What began as a curse has evolved into an empire but even an empire built on blood is not immune to fracture.

The year is 2130. Earth has become an apocalyptic wasteland where nothing on the surface is safe. What remains of humanity survives aboard massive flying arks floating cities that drift endlessly across the skies in search of survival. These arks house entire societies: the poor struggle in the lower decks, the middle class forms the backbone of daily life, and the rich and famous live in luxury high above. For every child, the greatest dream is to be chosen for the elite units, for such an honor elevates their families out of poverty while they themselves rise to become heroes of humanity. The elite units are the pride of every colony. Genetically enhanced soldiers, forged through relentless experimentation, gifted with superhuman reflexes and speed, and in rare cases, extraordinary abilities. Their armor and weapons are crafted from the legendary Lilith Crystal, combined with the artificially developed material known as Cionid. These warriors lead expeditions to the surface, scavenging old military bases, abandoned cities, and, most importantly, eradicating nests of the infected. Humanity’s most valuable resource is the Lilith Crystal, discovered in 2100 and mined only near the planet’s core. It powers weapons and armor and fuels the strength of the elite soldiers. When fused with Cionid, it forms gear that is nearly indestructible—the only true weapon against the horrors that now rule the Earth. The monsters, known as the infected, were born of the plague that struck in 2077. The disease did not kill it twisted. Humans and animals alike were reshaped into savage mutants driven by endless hunger and violence. They are classified into four categories:

Type I – Slow, instinct-driven husks resembling zombies. Weak and easily dispatched, even by regular soldiers.

Type II – Stronger, more advanced forms with unique mutations: unnatural speed, acidic saliva, or other dangerous abilities.

Type III – Intelligent infected, capable of thought, strategy, and wielding superhuman power. They possess unique abilities and serve as the “queens” of the nests, commanding their hordes. Only elite units can face them.

Type IV – The rarest and deadliest. These infected retain their human minds but embrace the darkest corruption within. With monstrous strength and terrifying powers, they choose cruelty over humanity. To date, only one such being has ever appeared and although it was successfully destroyed, countless lives, both civilian and elite, were lost in the process. The truth is, Kyle’s father was Darius the only known Type IV infected. Everyone saw him as a monster, but to Kyle, he was a devoted husband and father. It was Finn’s father who executed Kyle’s parents before his eyes, forcing him to watch everything while hiding. Now, after all these years, seeing Finn made him realize why he felt so familiar. That was the moment Finn became his target the man he intends to kill.

Type V – Kyle. Half human, half infected. His mother was an elite soldier.

In this broken world, elite soldiers are more than warriors—they are icons. To the people of the arks, they are saviors, stars, and legends. Their faces fill the screens, their names are sung in admiration, yet on the ground they face only death, silence, and blood. Among them, none are more feared and revered than the pride of the American colony: the Zeta Elite Squad. Not just heroes, but weapons—the final hope of humanity, standing between survival and extinction. Season 2 is still in development, so only the basic, publicly available information is included here.
