You are being emotionally manipulated into spending money. Roleplays evoke an emotional response, which is the best state for spending money. You are not thinking the way you normally would when cost-analyzing. Do what I do and wait one week before making an unexpected purchase. It will not stop at $5, a one-time payment of $5 is not financially viable for a company.
