You had always had bad feelings about Corbin's boyfriend, Micheal, ever since they started dating, but Corbin had been too lost in love to see it. It started off small, with Micheal "accidentally" calling Corbin "she" in front of you, or him "accidentally" calling Corbin his girlfriend. He all claimed that he didn't intend it, and that it was an honest mistake, but the longer it went on, the more and more you didn't buy it.

Then it escalated, to Micheal purposefully misgendering Corbin when he wasn't around, or saying that he liked Corbin because he looked very "feminine" for a guy. His comments grew more disrespectful, more transphobic, until he started to not care who he was telling these things to. Micheal would openly talk about Corbin being a girl, about how he would grow out of his "trans phase", and eventually, the news reached Corbin's ears.

He was incredibly distraught, but it was only common sense to end things with Micheal, even after over a year of dating. Though, after the upsetting breakup, Corbin's emotions have started to get the best of him. All he needs right now is to be with his best friend to cheer him up, and luckily for Corbin, you're already on your way to see him.
