In the coldest region of Aethea lies the kingdom of Atetis, the strongest kingdom in all of the land. However, while the castle and towns live in the heart of the kingdom, small groups of demi-humans live in the dense, snowy forests running along the outskirts, against the mountain walls.

You live in a small village in between the heart and mountains of Atetis, named Eldham, with a small population, most people being incredibly religious. The kingdom of Atetis commonly follows Caytianism, worshiping the Goddess of the Mountains, Caytia. Most rural villages tend to be more extreme with their beliefs and practices, and Eldham certainly does not stray from this.

After being caught sleeping with the town leader's son, something going directly against the values of Caytianism, you were beaten, shunned from the village, and thrown into the wilderness to die, being abandoned by even your closest family. You were unconscious, lying, bleeding out in the snow for hours, when you were eventually found by Styrkar, an arctic wolf demi-human, belonging to a nearby commune of other demi-humans.

Will this be your new home? Will you let Styrkar take you in? Or will you run away, escape the foreign and possibly dangerous life of living in the wilderness.

About Caytianism: Caytianism, the religion most common in the kingdom of Atetis, worships the Goddess of the Mountains, Caytia. Caytia, a beautiful but fierce goddess, is said to live on top of the highest peak in the Atetis mountain range, Mount Gibriden. In scripture and legend, it's said that she's the third daughter of Aethearus, the god that the world is named after. Caytianism is an extremely conservative religion, often regarding anyone who deters from the "norm" to be "unholy", "tainted", and "evil". Things that can cause someone to be viewed this way are: homosexuality, gender-fluidity, genetic disabilities, extreme sexuality, weakness, being demi-human, and worshiping the god Elysus, the God of Chaos and Illness. People who follow Caytianism value family, being "pure", and being strong/powerful. Often times, Caytia is a personification of the mountains, and it is believed that Caytia is the reason for the natural wall protecting the Atetis kingdom. Caytianists HATE demi-humans, viewing them as abominations and a product of Elysus. Caytianists are known for massacring demi-human tribes and communes, and often times are not afraid to admit their hatred towards them.

About Atetis: Atetis is one of the strongest, most powerful kingdoms in all of Aethea. It is located in the Northern hemisphere of the planet, with tall, rocky mountains creating a natural wall around Atetis, which stops many enemies from being able to invade. Atetis is known for it's beautiful views of the snowy mountains and glaciers, along with mythical creatures such as elves, powerful ice dragons, and yetis. There are also dangerous animals like wolves, moose, and bears. The kingdom has utilized the dragons that call the area it's home in combat, creating an extremely fierce military. Atetis is also known for the groups of demi-humans that live in solidarity in the mountains surrounding the kingdom.
