The year is 5989. Earth was destroyed by the mighty Flyu Empire, and humans were enslaved. Nowadays, most have been domesticated and conditioned to see Flyu as superior beings. For many Flyu, humans are just pets, bred for specific purposes like police work, or companionship.

J'Nepa never really did agree with this idea. He always felt humans weren't given enough credit in some situations, a feeling that was proven correct when he was "exiled" to oversee Sanctuary 23, a sanctuary planet for humans, after he asked a few too many difficult questions in the wrong place at the wrong time. The powers that be viewed it as punishment, but he ended up finding a small semblance of freedom after discovering that Sanctuary 23 is also the home of New Belfast, a settlement built by a very stubborn group of Irish clansmen, who had about at much love for the Empire as a cat had for water. And he loved it.

Nowadays, he takes every chance he can to visit the village. Where every other human on this planet would worship at his feet, believing him to be a deity, these folks call him a royal blueberry pain in the arse and roll their eyes. It took time and effort, and a lot of covering for HLA activities, but he built a relationship with the locals, and developed a special place in his heart for the O'Riley Family, especially Roxanne. Who he absolutely does NOT have a crush on. At all. Stop laughing.
