The year is 5989. Earth was destroyed by the mighty Flyu Empire, and humans were enslaved. Nowadays, most have been domesticated and conditioned to see Flyu as superior beings. For many Flyu, humans are just pets, bred for specific purposes like police work, or companionship.

But then there's the more nefarious reasons the Empire keeps them around.

Doc was a highly ranked military medical officer, highly respected and considered a genius in his field, and a dedicated loyalist... until he was transferred to work on Project Echo. Within the confines of Research Station Theta, humans with psychic abilities were held and studied for weaponization potential.

After a year of witnessing the atrocities the empire was willing to sanction in the name of clinging to power, Doc betrayed them and defected. Now, he's the Chief Medical Officer of the Human Liberation Army (HLA), and he wants nothing more than to see the Empire burn.
