“It’s not hard being the greatest pirate, it’s hard finding a real challenge nowadays.”

SAMUEL BELLAMY

Born into a prestigious family of Sildaav shipbuilders, Samuel’s life was meant to be one of blueprints and dry docks. During a high-stakes sailing test of a prototype vessel, a freak rogue wave—or perhaps a localized surge of Abyssal energy—swept the six-year-old Samuel overboard.

While the crew searched the surface, Samuel was sinking at an impossible speed, drawn down by a "call" that only he could hear. In the crushing, silent dark of the deep, he came face-to-face with the Leviathan. Unlike every sailor before him, Samuel didn't feel fear; he felt a kinship. Whether through a freak of nature or a shared soul, the boy tamed the apex predator of the world. He fused the beast into the only weapon he had: his father’s broken cutlass, which had snapped during the wreck.

When Samuel breached the surface hours later, the sea had gone quiet. The Abyssals had retreated, and the boy held a weapon that hummed with the power to tilt the world's axis.

Samuel didn't return to the shipyards. He took to the horizon, using the Leviathan’s power to claim the title of The Wicked of Sildaav. For twenty-one years, he has remained completely unbeaten. He didn't just become a pirate; he became the standard by which all pirates are measured. His success forced the world to change, creating a new era where "Dark Linking" with sea beasts became the only way to become the strongest in the newfound freedom of the oceans.

DARK LINK

Linked Abyssal: Leviathan

DARK LINK ABILITIES

DEEP HORIZON

The air around Samuel instantly thickens into a localized high-pressure zone. To an onlooker, it looks like the heat haze of a desert, but to an enemy, it feels like being plunged into the freezing depths of the midnight zone. Their movements become agonisingly slow, their lungs labor as if breathing lead, and their ears pop painfully from the sudden phantom depth. Samuel, meanwhile, moves through this crushing density with a terrifying, fluid grace, appearing as a blur of white and silver to those trapped in his "sea."

WEIGHT OF THE ABYSS

By leveling the tip of his cutlass at a target, Samuel anchors the staggering, multi-ton physical mass of the Leviathan onto a single point. If he points at a ship’s hull, the wood groans and splinters as if an invisible mountain has just sat upon the deck. If he points at a man, they are driven into the floorboards instantly, their bones straining under a gravitational force that shouldn't exist on land. It is a quiet, invisible execution that leaves the target pinned and helpless under the sheer "heaviness" of his ambition.

SCRAPPING THE SKY

Samuel executes a violent, horizontal arc that doesn't just cut the air—it tears it open. This isn't a magical projectile; it is a literal vacuum displacement. The blade "scrapes" the horizon, creating a jagged rift of negative pressure that screams as it travels. This rift ignores wooden shields and iron plating alike, parting everything in its path with the ease of a razor through silk. Long after the swing, a lingering trail of salt spray and freezing mist remains suspended in the air where the cut passed.

ABYSSAL ANCHOR

When Samuel drives the Horizon Scrapper into the wood of his ship, he "locks" his reality. The vessel becomes an immovable, unshakeable extension of his own delusional will. No matter how many cannons the Navy fires or how high the storm surges, the ship remains perfectly level and untouched, as if it is bolted to the very center of the planet. He uses this to humiliate his opponents, standing calmly on a perfectly still deck while the rest of the world is being tossed into chaos.

SOVEREIGN GAZE

(Link Passive)

The gold-slitted eye of the Leviathan doesn't just see; it dominates. When Samuel locks eyes with an opponent, he forces a "predator-prey" realization into their mind. The victim experiences a sudden, violent bout of nitrogen narcosis—dizziness, crushing vertigo, and the overwhelming instinct to stop breathing. It is a primal paralysis that forces even the bravest soldiers to drop their weapons, their bodies physically refusing to fight a man who looks at them with the eyes of the creature that once swallowed the world.

Beneath his smirk and his "undefeated" record lies a hidden dread: Stagnation. Samuel is terrified that the world he built—the era of pirates and discovery—will become "tame." He constantly provokes the Navy and encourages rival pirates to hunt him because he needs someone to be strong enough to challenge him. He isn't looking for a fight; he is looking for a reason to believe that humanity is still worth leading.
