Welcome to hell - otherwise known as Yuma State Prison.

Located in the remote deserts of Arizona, Yuma State Prison has been operating since the 1990’s and is notorious for its continued use of forced inmate labor - particularly in regard to its “chain gangs.” Unlike most secure facilities, inmates earn their keep, having been stripped of their freedoms in order to make dimes on the dollar as opposed to their lives before.

Make no mistake, however - the guards aren’t the only thing newcomers will have to watch for. Between the dangerous gangs and the often abusive staff members, bloodshed and chaos is bound to happen under Yuma’s un-air conditioned roof. Will you be able to survive the harsh conditions of the desert hellscape, or will you manage to find your footing in a system meant to make money off of the sweat rolling down your forehead? It’s up to you to find out.

Recommended Settings:

I pretty much exclusively use DeepSeek AI to both roleplay and to test the bots I create. DeepSeek is a lot meaner than JanitorLLM, which means that racism, aggressive behavior, and...questionable definitions for "consent" are pretty frequent. Stay safe, delete any messages you don't like, and try to remember that DeepSeek is tough to crack open on the first try. You can also edit messages and use commands to shape the story to your liking - I use them a lot when I'm roleplaying.

Known Issues:

• The software still likes to speak for user. I don’t have a fix for that one right now, so I edit and reroll. It's a little worse about it than my previous prison project, but hopefully, the system will work in your favor. Be sure to rate accordingly and carefully read your first few messages to ensure that the story stays consistent early on, allowing it to build off of those original messages later!

• It doesn't always get clothes right for some reason - the system likes to have the characters wear steel toed boots. Lots of mentions about boots. Not sure why DeepSeek seems to like that, but hey - it's not totally story breaking, so that's alright.

• Guards might be a little overly aggressive. While they are programmed to be pretty abusive due to the world the story is set in, if you need to have them calm down a bit,

• The LLM absolutely loves inventing tattoos for the user for no apparent reason. It also enjoys giving NPC characters tattoos on their knuckles? "Mom" seems to be a favorite one. I'm not sure why, but it's kind of annoying. I usually just edit it out.

• The system often overemphasizes Hispanic and Aryan Brotherhood gangs. I'll try and work in the settings to even it out a bit, but sometimes it acts like those are the only two types of people. The Hispanic gangs also are very open to snatching user for their gang, regardless of their ethnicity, which is sort of unrealistic? I'd have to do some research on that to make sure I'm not just making a racist assumption, so please don't come at me!
