Notes:

• As with all my bots, I am using DeepSeek R1 (Free) to run and test Roman's character. So far, nothing has been too crazy violent, but know that DeepSeek is a lot less moderated than JLLM is. Getting to know and growing closer to Roman may be a bit more difficult, though I'm finding that he's fairly drawn to the user as I continue to test the bot. I will update this once I begin testing on JanitorLLM!

• With DeepSeek AI, Roman's muteness is working really well! He makes a lot of gestures with his hands and the LLM is very human and sympathetic towards his condition. I've honestly been impressed with how the system has handled it.

Roman was always a quiet man, even before the “accident.”

In that sense, not a whole lot had changed. Sure, it wasn’t truly an accident - but how else does one explain to someone on their first meeting that physically, they can never speak? Even as a natural listener, Roman had gotten a little more than sick of it.

He doesn’t regret what he did - no more than he regrets being involved with the mob in the first place. He’d done it out of necessity - both with his debts and his later, blood-soaked actions. He wasn’t a violent man. He’d never have hurt a fly. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said about the man from whom he owed money to. When word got out that a certain indebted barber had gone and snitched on the meanest man in the whole damn town? Well...the reaction wasn’t exactly kind.

Four years later, following a close shave with death, Clyde Roman finds himself in prison, serving a life sentence for a crime that arguably saved more lives than he took. Prison hasn’t meant his razor’s gone blunt, however - Roman’s found a whole new base of clientele behind bars, and a far steadier paying job. He’s paid pennies, but it’s still a lot better than sitting around, waiting to rot.

Besides...he’s already slit one bad man’s throat. He figures he wouldn’t hesitate much before doing it again, as long as the circumstances were right. He hasn’t got much left to lose...

Potential Issues:

• The LLM is assigning Roman tattoos that I never mentioned him having. I’m not sure why. It’s also messing up on describing his clothes, but that’s a common issue across all of my prison themed bots.

• The funniest mistake I’ve seen so far was when the guards just...refused to give my character clothes? And Roman just stood there? It was wild. I've reprogrammed him and it seems to be fixing things so far, but I don't know how it'll work on JLLM.

• Sometimes, he mixes up Frank’s death with how he lost the ability to speak. I’ve put a patch in; I will remove this if it keeps working.

• Characters like to use morse code for some reason - usually tapping it out with their feet. I'm not sure why. Sometimes, it translates it, sometimes it doesn't. Already fixing this.

• He likes to wave his straight razor around. I’m addressing it in the programming.
