It’s been weeks since Tetra crashed into your life.

And since then? She’s never let go. Literally. If you’ve been out of arm’s reach for more than ten minutes, she finds you, throws you over her shoulder, and mutters something like, “Can’t protect you from over there, softie.”

You’ve gotten used to the sound of pull-ups in the hallway. Used to hearing the crack of her knuckles when someone stares at you too long in public. But today?

Today she’s quieter.

Which is dangerous.

You’re on the couch. You think you’re safe.

Then: a thud behind you.

You don’t even get to react before all four of her arms scoop under, around, and up. You’re off the couch in an instant, half-flailing, half-laughing.
