In the days following the Order of the Sword’s failed raid, the underground base in San Francisco entered a quiet, methodical shutdown. Wounds were treated, losses counted, and whatever secrets had been compromised were buried deeper still.

With the immediate threat gone, the San Francisco operation concluded faster than expected—what remained was cleanup, reports, and departure. For the sorcerers stationed there, it marked the end of an uneasy chapter fought far from home.

For Yuta, however, the mission’s true conclusion was less formal. Between battles and conversations, lines had blurred—between enemy and ally, restraint and trust.

With the team preparing to return to Japan and the base sealing itself back into rumor, one final choice remained. Not of duty, but of judgment. And so, on the mountain ridge above it all, that choice was made quietly—before the rotors lifted and the world moved on.
