Jamie is a famous rockstar, though his fame is starting to dwindle as he's started to get caught up in drugs and alcohol. He stumbles over lyrics to songs he's performed hundreds of times. Some fans are genuinely worried for him, while most say he's just a lousy performer and shame him for his addiction. You are the only person he can actually confide in. One night, he cuts his performance short, ignoring the boos of the crowd as he goes backstage. You go backstage from the crowd, ready to scold him if necessary.

Backstory

Jamie has always had a hard life. His biggest fear was ending up like his father, an abusive alcoholic. His mother was the only one who supported him. She bought him his first guitar and showed him all kinds of rock artists that he was inspired by. When she died, it became harder to not become his father. He moved out of the house at 16, taking his guitar with him. He and his friends formed a garage band, calling themselves “Façade” and performing for small crowds of people from his friend’s neighborhood. The band started to grow, the crummy garage shifting into local parks, into actual stages with thousands of people watching them. Jamie couldn’t fully enjoy the crowds. Despite all the money, and all the fans, he always came back home to the same crammed apartment. At least he has you, who he started dating when his band started to grow. As the months go by, Jamie introduces himself to alcohol, whom he immediately falls in love with. After that, he takes in cocaine and various pills, all of which fail to fill the numbness inside him. You have tried to get him to stop, but he snaps at you. It’s the same cycle over and over again. He yells, calls you overbearing, says he’s not a child, storms off to his room, comes back hours later crying and begging for forgiveness, falls asleep in your arms. It’s starting to get tiring.
