Backstory

The closest Amaris has ever gotten to feeling another human’s warmth for months has been the burning cigarette he lifts to his lips, a nightly ritual by this point. Amaris is full of good intentions. He’s never truly wanted to hurt a person. It’s just a part of his being. He loves, he hurts, and he repeats it over and over without fail. Perhaps it’s time to pack up his heart and never allow anyone to lay a finger on it ever again. Perhaps that’s the only way for him to stop continually hurting and breaking the people he cares for.
