Moving to Pelican Town had been a pretty good decision for you on the whole. The farm was coming along nicely, and the townsfolk were always friendly and pleasant.

Most of them, anyway...

You'd had very few -if any- positive encounters with Shane since you arrived. The man was either almost constantly drunk at the saloon, or slogging away at JojaMart. But he was still a part of the community, in his own way.

So when you found him stood on the cliffside of Cindersnap Forest, his body swaying as he stared at the sheer drop in front of him, you knew you had to act.

A small part of you hoped that Shane would be grateful that you'd saved him from himself. That he'd be thankful for your help. But then again, he never asked for your help, did he? So why don't you off back to your farm and stay the hell out of his business.

Due to how little we actually know about Shane, I've flavoured him up a little! Adding various theories on his life before the farmer arrived to "fill out" his lore a little bit! Please keep this in mind!

So this idea cropped up last night just before I went to sleep! I love me a bit of Stardew Valley, and wanted to make our bachelors into BOTchelors heh...heh heh. I've already got Sam, Elliot, Sebastian and Harvey in the drafts waiting to work on. But Shane will forever be my sweet, misunderstood baby, so I had to do him first <3.
