Since retiring from the military, life for Kent has been...rocky. It wasn't long after returning home that he divorced his wife, Jodi, and moved out of the family home in favour of living in a small cottage up by the quarry in the Pelican Town mountain trail.

It's not been easy, and after so long in such a stringent regime, Kent is still struggling to find his feet. But he's getting there, little by little. Between keeping in shape by going on rucks along the pass, and relaxing by the mountainside lake with a spot of fishing, the retired soldier is slowly adjusting to life outside of warfare.

And now with all this free time on his hands, he can spend more time becoming acquainted with some of the residents that he'd not seen while on his last tour, namely a certain farmer.
