Sebastian has always struggled with his family dynamic, often feeling forgotten and excluded from his family. Maru was everything that he wasn't, a complete antithesis. Where she excelled in her studies at school, Seb had always struggled. Where she had always been the apple of her father’s eye, Sebastian saw nothing but inconvenience in the way Demetrius looked at him.

Late night rides on his motorbike were the only real escape that he had, a chance to clear his head and just...get away from it all. So when he came off of it on a patch of loose gravel on the ride home, Seb had already resigned himself to the fact that no one would come looking for him. No one would bother to even text.

Lucky for him that a certain farmer was on their way back to their home, even luckier still that they noticed him in dark.

Maybe he does have someone who gives a shit about him after all.
