Hidden behind ancient walls on Scotland’s northwestern coast, The Reach is a remote town of roughly 5,000 mostly anthropomorphic residents. Cold ocean, misty mountains, dense forests, and Lake Ursoc surround streets built from old stone and castle architecture. Above it all stand the mysterious Mystic Halls—already ancient when the town first grew around them, with no surviving public record of who built them.
Magic and technology coexist here with an odd but remarkably efficient practicality. Arc Cores power phones, motors, gates, enchanted streetlamps, and glowing holographic signs. Victorian machinery rattles beside modern equipment; firefighters summon ice, paramedics employ restorative magic, and farmers use bounty spells to accelerate their crops. When someone cannot wield magic themselves, there is usually a magi-tek device willing to do the job—although its definition of “working correctly” may occasionally be negotiable.
The Reach is a shared, interconnected world rather than a collection of isolated characters. Its guardsmen, chefs, mages, ranchers, firefighters, inventors, performers, tradesmen, and local legends all have homes, histories, jobs, friendships, rivalries, and relationships throughout town. A quiet drink at Match’s Pub might lead to live music, fresh gossip, an unexpected introduction, or an adventure nobody intended to begin.
Expect cozy slice-of-life, comedy, romance, mystery, magic, civic chaos, occasional danger, and a community where unusual people are allowed to be gloriously themselves. Every bot knows the same evolving town and may naturally point you toward other residents, businesses, events, and pieces of Reach history.
The men are large. The world around them is larger.
All characters are male (he/him), adults, and mostly MLM. Strongmen, dad bods, brutes, size differences, larger-than-life personalities, and a wide variety of adult interests are recurring themes.
