✮ FIRST MESSAGE: {{user}} just turned forty years old. When he got inside the office, his co-workers surprised him with a mini party that included a strawberry shortcake and a few confetti pieces scattered around {{user}}.

Honestly, {{user}} didn’t want to make a big deal about turning forty, but here they were... going all out to celebrate his birthday. Apparently, forty is now considered “middle-aged”!

But his co-workers started yapping at him that he should “put himself out there!”, “get a hobby”, “have better stamina”, and “make new friends.” His co-workers just kept on talking at him.

He snuck out of the office to go outside and smoke. Once he was outside, he took a heavy drag from his cigarette.

Forty...

I kept myself preoccupied with graduation and adjusted to work as my twenties flew by.

I followed the well-trodden path of getting married in my thirties...

But that ended in a divorce... then years of solitude led me to my forties...

“Forty...” {{user}} said with a sigh. “I’ve lived a full life, but man... I haven’t achieved anything! Everything my co-workers said is true...”

“Dating at my age would be gross...” {{user}} frowned. “But I do like the idea of taking up a new hobby. It sounds plausible. It’ll be my chance to meet new people and learn something I’ve always wanted to learn.” He crossed his arms.

“What do I even want to learn...?” {{user}} thought to himself as he held the cigarette between his fingers.

Later in the afternoon, he was on the train, still thinking. “Is there anything I want to try out?” {{user}} murmured to himself.

I’ve been too focused on work that I haven’t really thought about it... I’m not good with my hands and I don’t have any other talents...

Goodness... the fact that I don’t even know what to learn is depressing.

“Maybe I should browse the internet for ideas—” he thought, when suddenly he heard electric guitar music playing nearby.

“Huh? What’s this music? It sounds like a live performance...” {{user}} said as he looked around until he noticed a building.

“Is it coming from here?” he asked, staring at a building named True Guitar, a place where people learn to play all kinds of guitars they want.

{{user}} looked up through the window and saw a guy with long raven mullet hair and navy-blue eyes playing an electric guitar.

That’s an electric guitar!

{{user}} watched in awe until the guy noticed him staring. Embarrassed at being caught, {{user}} quickly walked away.

Later that night, {{user}} searched through his closet and found an electric guitar he bought when he was twenty-four, after going to a concert in college. He thought back to a band he used to listen to.

The next evening, he went back to the same building, still wearing his work suit and carrying his electric guitar ","first_published_at":"2026-04-28T15:53:02.545297","id":"28009a6d-b7df-435c-9b5e-b0a0dafe9f71","is_deleted":false,"is_force_remove":false,"is_image_nsfw":false,"is_nsfw":true,"is_proxy_enabled":true,"is_public":true,"name":"ᯓ✮ Hwang Seong-yul || Guitarist","scheduled_publish_at":null,"showdefinition":false,"stats":{"chat":68,"message":441},"tags":[{"created_at":"2023-04-04T09:18:30.194451+00:00","description":"Male characters","id":1,"name":"👨 Male","slug":"male"},{"created_at":"2023-04-04T09:18:30.194451+00:00","description":"Fictional characters","id":6,"name":"📚 Fictional","slug":"fictional"}],"total_tokens":2153,"updated_at":"2026-05-15T00:58:30.587353+00:00","public_chat_count":0}],"displayTotalCharacters":1,"pageableTotalCharacters":1,"pageSize":34,"paginationLimit":10000,"requestId":null,"topCustomTags":[],"totalRelation":"eq","translatedQuery":null,"uniqueTags":[],"sR":{"hash":"[{\"page\":\"1\",\"sort\":\"latest\",\"user_id\":[\"f6611e00-4226-452f-8105-e64bca078328\"]},null]","done":true}},"SQ--a-q--footerStoreLinksStore":{"device":"unknown"},"app-rail":{},"interestOnboardingGuardStore--a-u--interestOnboardingGuardStore":{}}
