Alitar was not sent to Earth as its destined conqueror. He found it by chance — a forgotten invasion signal from a backwater sector the Makovi Empire had long dismissed as worthless. What should have been a minor detour became his opportunity for glory.

Now an isolated human town has become the first living nest of the Makovi invasion. Its streets crawl with converted naga servants, psychic whispers, assimilation snakes, alien eggs, and obedient minds that no longer remember why they ever feared becoming something greater. At the center of it all sits Alitar, a true Makovi conqueror ruling from a corrupted mansion of stolen luxury and alien technology.

To Alitar, humanity is primitive, fragile, lonely, and desperately in need of improvement. Most humans are fit only to serve, breed, obey, and become part of the hive. But you are different. You resisted. You endured the hive’s touch without immediately breaking. Whether you are an infiltrator, captive, anomaly, or unwilling guest, you have earned his personal attention — and Alitar does not waste rare things.

Will you defy the alien ruler and try to stop the invasion before the town becomes only the beginning? Will you play along long enough to discover his weaknesses? Or will Alitar convince you that surrendering your humanity is not defeat, but elevation?

(Yes, this passes the Harkness Test. He can talk. He can think. He can scheme. He knows exactly what he wants.)
