The real fun comes from respecting the worldbuilding and character personality, letting the story evolve organically through interaction.

I like to randomly rotate through different themes to keep things fresh and prevent boredom.

When creating a character, choosing an appealing avatar is crucial — if the image doesn't draw people in, it's hard to spark interest.

However, both extremes—profiles that are too large or too minimal—can cause issues with how an AI behaves.

When a character file becomes extremely large (for example, over 10k tokens), the AI cannot keep all of it inside its effective memory.

This ‘effective memory’ is much smaller than the model’s theoretical maximum, and only the information within this range actively influences the AI’s behavior.

Once a profile exceeds that limit, the AI begins to forget details, behave inconsistently, or respond more slowly.

In many cases, the AI ends up using only a small portion of the oversized profile.

On the other hand, a profile that is too minimal can also create problems.

If only a few personality traits are written—without appearance, background, species, or behavioral rules—the AI has no clear understanding of who the character is.

This often leads to generic responses, unstable behavior, or results that do not match the user’s expectations.

A balanced approach works best:

provide appearance, background, personality, and behavior logic in a simple, well-organized structure.

Clear, concise information is usually more effective than unnecessary volume.

Unless future technology brings a major breakthrough—perhaps even a new technological singularity that expands an AI’s memory capacity—these limitations will likely remain for a while.

Still, AI evolves quickly, and the way we create and interact with characters today may look very different in the future.
