Series: Calidora Sin

Calidora is a coastal port metropolis founded during the colonial era, originally named after a Portuguese saint but colloquially known as Calida—"the hot one"—for its climate and the volatile nature of its commerce. By the 19th century, the nickname had superseded the official designation. The city operates under a dual system: formal municipal governance coexists with entrenched informal networks of smuggling, private transactions, and discretionary enforcement. Its harbor functions as a perpetual free-trade zone with minimal customs oversight. Urban fabric comprises layered construction from colonial warehouses to contemporary data vaults, with undocumented subterranean passages forming a secondary circulation network. Information is treated as a tradable commodity, and communication systems are subject to routine interception. The climate is subtropical, with seasonal monsoons that periodically disrupt surface mobility.

Series: Solara Summer

Solara is a Pacific coastal metropolis characterized by extreme socioeconomic stratification and juridical fragmentation. The city operates under a hybrid governance model wherein municipal authority is supplemented—and in certain zones, superseded—by private covenants, corporate arbitration, and members-only regulatory frameworks. Financial and entertainment sectors function with expanded exemptions from standard disclosure requirements. Transportation infrastructure includes private aviation and maritime facilities operating outside regional oversight. Peripheral landholdings exist as closed compounds with limited liability status and no public services. The city maintains no unified emergency response network; security and dispute resolution are privatized across all districts. Climate is temperate maritime, with coastal fog prevalent during morning hours.

Series: Morok

Thalmyris is a forest-enclosed village of forty-seven households, built upon a circular clearing where no vegetation grows naturally. Three unnamed streams converge beneath the settlement; their water is never consumed without the addition of salt and a spoken personal name. The village has no maintained road access, no cellular coverage, and no formal administrative registry. External communication is irregular and relayed by foot couriers. The local economy is subsistence-based with supplementary barter. Demographic and historical records are maintained orally. The settlement does not appear on current regional cartographic surveys.

Series: Desert Rose

The setting is the Nile Valley during the dynastic period of Ancient Egypt—a narrow arable corridor flanked by expansive desert plateaus. The river governs all agricultural, logistical, and calendrical cycles through its seasonal flooding. Political authority is centralized under a divine monarchy supported by a priestly bureaucracy. The economy is agrarian, supplemented by gold extraction and riverine trade. Cultural production is predominantly funerary, with extensive mortuary architecture and written records in hieroglyphic and hieratic scripts. The environment is characterized by extreme diurnal temperature variation, minimal precipitation, and dominant northerly winds. External borders are contested by nomadic groups and rival polities to the south.
