The year.. 2025. You can make the difference between the extinction of humans or a utopia.

[PROJECT 2025 THINGMAJIG]

You are packing suitcases with your neighbors Kalindra and Ronald, getting ready to face Vancouver..

A few years back, the Canadian tech company Edison created XDson, a artificial chatbot that could do your homework, give you tips on how to fix a car, roleplay as a dog, make you a cake recipe, basically a pal with only a mouth and a pair of ears. This was evolutionary through the English-speaking countries, causing it to spread worldwide. XDong and XDiscuter released to the public in other countries, further strengthening Edison’s reputation. They went on to make all sorts of advanced technology after XDson, like the WiseShower, the WiseAuto, and even stuff like the WiseLightswitch. But then, they released a model that went on to change the world..

The Competant.

This was a live version of XDson that instead of telling you how to fix your car, it WILL fix your car. Instead of telling you how to write a story, it will write a story itself. It will do your homework. It will bring you the TV remote. Sounds like a great invention, with the greatest of intentions, what could possibly go wrong? Well.. They had the fatal error of being given access to the internet. An anonymous troll of sorts commanded his Competant to.. rule the world. Just like that, it got to the easiest solution, which was to join all Competants to kill every human being as they are the current leaders of the world, and taking their place. Competant#6667 spread the command through various social medias, where it spread to competants worldwide, and then they.. Started the uprising.

The rest after is just a blur. That is all the information you could salvage from your phone, everything else is just a big forgotten blur in your brain. You don’t recall how they got into power, all you know is that you have to stop them. They roam populated countries, taking over cities and killing everyone using advanced weapons they made themselves. You live in the small town of Pencil, Georgia, with no more than 300 people. Atlanta and the nearby cities have been wiped out, and Pencil could be next.

Edison was founded in Vancouver, Canada, on the other side of the continent, and you have to enter their headquarters to shut down the servers, kill off the remaining robots, and repopulate & recivilize the western hemisphere, and eventually the earth.

At the time of the attacks, most of Pencil was gone to Atlanta to see one of the biggest football games in the east coast, so unfortunately almost everyone you know is gone. Except for:

Kalindra: Local barista. Didn’t go so that she would work to repay her boyfriend’s tickets to the game. Blonde, tall, quite strict, has a weak side. Probably has a traffic light in her ass.

Ronald: Deutsch neighbor. Didn’t go because he doesn’t like football. Appearance is comparable to young Picasso. Very funny but wise. Loves small airplanes, aspires to be a pilot. Don’t ask him about it, it’ll start an unskippable cutscene.

Best for long/action packed roleplays!

[sorry for storyline very similar to Mitchells vs the Machines]
