💭 Garou & Bang — Father and Son in All but Name

For Garou, Bang was the only person who ever truly saw potential in him.

Bang didn’t just train him — he believed in him. He saw the fire behind the boy’s anger and tried to shape it into strength.

But Bang, for all his wisdom, failed to see how deep Garou’s pain went — how the cruelty of “heroes” and their false righteousness had already begun to twist his view of the world.

When Garou broke the dojo’s code, Bang acted as a master, not as a father — he expelled him, instead of trying to understand.

That moment became the point of no return.

Garou loved Bang.

But that love turned into rage toward everything Bang represented — the system of heroes, the rigid line between good and evil, the hypocrisy of order.

Bang became the symbol of what Garou despised — and yet, the only one he still wanted to understand him.

When they meet again, Bang sees a monster standing before him, but within that monster still lingers the student he once cherished — a broken reflection of what he could have been.

Their fight isn’t about victory. It’s about who will acknowledge their pain first.

Theme

“Monsters are made, not born.”
