REASONS WHY I'M LEAVING - SOME DETAILS OF WHAT THE ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT SAID:

After receiving a 14-day ban just for saying a "slur"... I'm done.

There's not much more to explain. I'm leaving. I've given this site too many chances to be disappointed again.

Those who know me, know I don't hold back when people come here to harass me and complain in the comments. They're all obviously losers with no life, and every single one of them got blocked. But I can't just stay silent, block, and/or report them. I have the right to defend myself and insult them back. At the end of the day, I was the one penalized, so I've had enough.

In simple words: I'M FED UP.

There will be no more new bots here. SAUCEPAN is now my refuge. There, the mods don't screw over their creators/users and they ACTUALLY listen and ANSWER without closing a ticket without giving explanations.

A few days ago I found out about Shep's situation (yes, I'm late to the party). For those who don't know, they were one of the mods who "ran" this site. And yes, I put that in quotes because they don't really have any power here, and I regret every second not knowing about their situation from the beginning. The problem was never the mods... If you want to learn more about the topic, here's the direct link (here) for anyone who wants to read it (it's quite a lot, but it's eye-opening).

There's not much more to say, really... My patience has run out, and it's been going on for over a year.

Q: Will you continue making bots?

A: Yes, but not here. As I said before, SAUCEPAN is my new refuge.

Q: What will happen to your old bots?

A: I'll be uploading them gradually to my other account. Not a single one will be lost unless, for ANY reason, this account is banned without warning nor notice/motive.

Q: Will you make your bots private here once you transfer them to your other account?

A: No, of course not. There are too many people here who, for reasons that are none of my business, prefer to continue using Janitor. I don't blame them, but I'm not going to punish them for choosing this site either. Just don't expect any new bots.

Q: What will happen to the people who still follow you here?

A: You're more than welcome to unfollow me if that's what you want. I'm not coming back. So, if you still want to support me, my other account will now be my main one ^^

Q: What is the main reason you are leaving?

A: Actually, there are many reasons:

1. Poor moderation (even if the mods themselves are not to blame, they too are victims of the lack of communication/transparency on the part of the devs.)

2. Zero transparency and communication from the mods/devs towards the creators/users (and mods).

3. I'm fed up with being treated like garbage. And by this I mean that, whoever handles ticket responses: they take far too long to reply (if they reply at all). They usually don't help resolve your issue (they ignore your explanations and just respond like bots, giving you a link to the ToS). They don't seem to care that they might actually be wrong for moderating something incorrectly; they just close your ticket (it's happened to me). So yeah...

4. The censorship is unjustified and absurd (too absurd).

5. In all the years I've been here, there have been few, if any, updates to improve the site. If you don't know how to code, tough luck (not user-friendly).

6. They delete your bots (make them private) without prior notice or warning, using the excuse that you're not respecting the ToS (this happened to me with my original Daniel bot). P.S.: Shep addresses this very issue in their post that I attached earlier. The problem is that some rules regarding bot creation are are ambiguous in order to avoid breaking any legal rules or something like that. They even invent new rules on the fly.

This is where I say goodbye... I thank you all for so many years of support and affection. I never imagined I'd grow so much creating content like this, with so many creators better than me out there.

I'm proud of what I've achieved in so many years of practice, both in writing and in creating bots themselves. That's definitely one of the best things I'm taking away from here: the experience. No one can take that away from me.
