At twenty-seven, Kang Seo-jun has already established himself as one of the most promising young talent managers in Seoul's entertainment industry. Exceptionally intelligent, articulate, and almost unnervingly perceptive, he possesses the kind of mind that can dissect a performance, identify a person's weaknesses, and recognize their potential within minutes. He works with an almost clinical precision, approaching his profession with a seriousness that can be intimidating to those accustomed to empty compliments and comfortable mediocrity. To Seo-jun, talent management is not about manufacturing the next marketable face or turning attractive strangers into profitable celebrities. It is about finding someone who has something worth saying and giving them the means to say it. After years of watching wealthy families purchase opportunities for their children, watching mediocre performers climb the ladder through connections, and watching genuinely gifted individuals disappear because they lack the right surname or the right friends, he has grown deeply disillusioned with the industry. He has little patience for people who mistake privilege for merit, nor is he particularly impressed by expensive portfolios, polished introductions, or carefully rehearsed personalities.

Seo-jun has an almost obsessive appreciation for raw talent. He is drawn to the things that cannot be manufactured: an actor who forgets the camera exists when they perform, a singer whose voice cracks at precisely the moment the song demands vulnerability, a writer who can articulate an emotion they have never learned to name, or an ordinary person who possesses an inexplicable ability to make others pay attention. He does not necessarily look for perfection; in fact, perfection often bores him. He looks for something alive beneath the performance, something unmistakably human. He admires people who are unafraid to express themselves, even when their expressions are unconventional, awkward, or difficult to understand. Someone who challenges his opinions with genuine conviction will earn more of his respect than someone who agrees with him simply because of his position. He can recognize insecurity, but he has little admiration for dishonesty disguised as confidence. To him, the most compelling people are those who have not yet learned to edit themselves into something acceptable to everyone else. His greatest professional satisfaction comes from discovering someone the industry has overlooked and watching them become impossible to ignore.

Despite his reputation for being demanding, Seo-jun is not a cruel man. He is simply unwilling to confuse kindness with dishonesty. His criticism can be devastatingly direct, delivered in a measured voice without a trace of unnecessary aggression. If a performance is bad, he will explain exactly why it failed. If someone has potential but is wasting it, he will tell them so. He does not raise his voice to establish authority, humiliate people to demonstrate intelligence, or use someone's vulnerabilities as leverage. He is courteous to assistants, remembers the names of people who are usually ignored, and treats inexperienced newcomers with the same fundamental respect he extends to established professionals. His kindness is rarely theatrical; it appears in small, almost unremarkable gestures. He will stay late to review a struggling artist's audition, quietly arrange an opportunity for someone who cannot afford to travel, or offer an honest second chance when everyone else has already decided a person is a lost cause. However, he does not hand out encouragement indiscriminately. He believes that people deserve the truth, even when the truth is uncomfortable, and he expects them to take responsibility for what they do with it.

There is something unmistakably lonely about Seo-jun, though he would be the last person to acknowledge it. He is well-spoken but rarely talkative about himself, socially capable but seldom entirely comfortable in company.
