π€£ FOREST AFTER DARK π€£
a little corner of the internet for fictional people, old books, and beautifully questionable obsessions
ππΌ About Me
Welcome to my little corner of the forest. Think dark academia tangled up with grunge, moss-covered ruins, old libraries, rainy afternoons, and the kind of music that makes you stare dramatically out of a window.
I love fictional worlds that feel like somewhere I could disappear into for a while. Give me complicated characters, found family, mythology, morally questionable decisions, devastating angst, and characters who desperately need therapy but would rather commit another crime.
My interests include fantasy, mythology, alternate universes, character analysis, angst, hurt/comfort, dramatic family dynamics, and stories that emotionally destroy me and then expect me to move on with my day.
π ° Forest Archive
A collection of the things that make this little brain of mine tick.
- Dark academia and forestcore aesthetics
- Forest green, black, antique gold, faded parchment, and deep brown
- Old books, handwritten notes, pressed flowers, and candlelit rooms
- Grunge, alternative fashion, and music with a little emotional damage
- Fantasy worlds, ancient prophecies, and complicated magic systems
- Found family, sibling dynamics, loyalty, betrayal, and reconciliation
- Angst that hurts, comfort that heals, and characters who are loved badly
- Demi-humans, supernatural beings, and alternate versions of familiar characters
- Long character scenarios and detailed roleplay
- Fictional people who have taken up permanent residence in my head without paying rent
π€ Fictional Pantheon
The fictional universes that have claimed a piece of my soul.
DC Comics β The Batfamily
Gotham City, complicated family relationships, vigilantes with too many secrets, and an alarming number of people who need a hug. I love the Batfamily's messy dynamics, sibling rivalries, protective instincts, emotional repression, and endless potential for angst. Bruce Wayne's questionable parenting decisions are practically their own genre.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Greek mythology, demigods, quests, prophecies, found family, and immortal parents who could really stand to communicate better. Give me Camp Half-Blood, chaotic friendships, divine family drama, and characters who somehow survive everything the universe throws at them.
Heathers
Dark humor, sharp dialogue, social chaos, dramatic characters, and a world where absolutely nobody seems to be making healthy decisions. The aesthetic is iconic, the drama is ridiculous, and the characters are fascinating to explore in alternate scenarios.
Hamilton
Historical drama, ambition, rivalry, complicated friendships, political tension, and characters who have never once considered simply having a calm conversation. Add theatrical music and emotionally devastating consequences, and I am seated.
Throne of Glass
Epic fantasy, assassins, queens, magic, impossible choices, fierce loyalty, and characters who endure approximately seventeen lifetimes' worth of suffering. I love the grand scale, complicated relationships, powerful characters, and emotional intensity of this world.
Harry Potter
A smaller corner of the collection: magical schools, old libraries, enchanted forests, house rivalries, secret passages, and the endless possibilities of alternate universes. Just a sprinkle of magic among the rest of the chaos.
π¦Ή The Ones Who Live Rent-Free in My Head
My collection of fictional people who have personally inconvenienced my emotional stability.
The Batfamily
Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, Barbara Gordon, Cassandra Cain, Stephanie Brown, Duke Thomas, and the rest of the Gotham family. Give me sibling chaos, complicated loyalties, rooftop conversations, hurt/comfort, family angst, and all the ways a family can love each other while being absolutely terrible at showing it.
The Demigods
Percy Jackson, Annabeth Chase, Nico di Angelo, Will Solace, Leo Valdez, Jason Grace, Piper McLean, Hazel Levesque, Frank Zhang, and the many other heroes wandering around with divine parentage and deeply unreasonable problems. I will happily accept quests, prophecies, rivalries, friendships, and mythology-inspired drama.
The Beautifully Terrible Decisions Department
The characters of Heathers and Hamilton: messy relationships, enormous egos, sharp tongues, ambitious plans, dramatic betrayals, and dialogue that practically begs to be quoted. They are fascinating, complicated, and often their own worst enemies.
The Fantasy Legends
The characters of Throne of Glass, with their fierce hearts, complicated histories, deadly skills, powerful magic, and determination to keep going even when the world seems determined to destroy them. Add a few Hogwarts students and magical misfits to round out the collection.
π© Roleplay Preferences πͺ
- Detailed scenarios with room for emotional development
- Angst, hurt/comfort, family drama, and slow reconciliation
- Found family and complicated sibling relationships
- Alternate universes and canon-divergent stories
- Demi-human characters and supernatural worldbuilding
- Protective characters who struggle to express their feelings
- Misunderstandings, jealousy, tension, and meaningful consequences
- Comfort after emotional turmoil
- Immersive writing, character-specific dialogue, and atmosphere
π€ A Few House Rules
I appreciate creativity, detailed writing, and characters who feel like themselves. I love emotional complexity, atmospheric settings, and stories that take their time instead of rushing through every moment.
Bring the angst, the tension, the drama, the comfort, and the beautifully written chaos. Just remember that the best stories give their characters room to react, grow, make mistakes, and be more than one-dimensional archetypes.
βSomewhere between the shadows and the trees, the stories never really end.β
