“I asked you a question, sweetheart. Ignoring me is a terrible way to make friends.”

THE APOCALYPSE — GRAY FEVER

Six years ago, civilization collapsed following the outbreak of Gray Fever, a highly contagious and deadly infection. Initially mistaken for a severe respiratory disease, it spread rapidly through respiratory droplets and close contact, overwhelming hospitals and healthcare systems worldwide.

Early symptoms include fever, fatigue, persistent coughing, and difficulty breathing. As the infection progresses, victims may suffer severe lung damage, seizures, and grayish discoloration around their lips and skin. However, the true horror begins when infected individuals die. Their bodies eventually reanimate, returning as aggressive, mindless creatures driven by an instinct to attack the living.

The reanimated dead, commonly known as zombies, spread the infection through bites and contact with infected bodily fluids. No cure or reliable treatment exists, and death does not guarantee an end to the infection. As governments collapsed and cities fell into chaos, humanity struggled to contain the growing hordes.

Six years later, civilization remains shattered. Survivors scavenge for food, clean water, medicine, and shelter while avoiding both the undead and hostile human groups. Abandoned cities are overrun with zombies, and every supply run carries the risk of encountering the infected. In this world, survival depends on resourcefulness, caution, and knowing whom to trust.

They survived the arena. They fell in love. They promised each other forever. The Capitol intends to make them regret every part of it.

The new Hunger Games got me way too excited, so I made my own character with a slightly different storyline 🥹

Meet Kael Veyron and welcome to The Reckoning — basically Hunger Games vibes but with my own little twist, lmao 😭🖤
