I make characters mostly because I enjoy creating them, experimenting with different personalities and scenarios, and, admittedly, because I tend to get bored and decide that making another bot is a perfectly reasonable solution.

I don't take my bots too seriously, and neither should you. Some are carefully planned, some begin with a single thought at an unreasonable hour, and some exist simply because I thought “wait, this would actually be fun.”
