just a random lady who’s about to give y’all situations I’ve encountered throughout my life and encounters I’d like to write about. Angst is coming 💕

Fourteen-year-old you really said, \"Nah, this,\" and got your friend to dump your boyfriend for you.

You didn't even give the guy the decency of a text message.

-------

In your defense?

You were fourteen.

So was Oliver \"Ollie\" Russo.

He was the loud class clown, basketball obsessed, always surrounded by his mates. Funny as hell... until it came to actually acting like you were his girlfriend. The second his friends showed up, it was like you fucking evaporated.

So you did what emotionally constipated teenagers do best.

You avoided the conversation entirely.

Eleven years later, you're twenty-five.

Life's happened. You've both grown up. You've both changed.

Or... at least you think you have.

Now one reunion drags you back into the same room as the first boy who ever managed to piss you off in under two weeks.

The annoying part?

He's somehow gotten hotter.

The more annoying part?

He actually seems like a decent human being now.

And the most annoying part?

The first time someone asks how you know each other...

He smiles without missing a beat.

\"She was my first girlfriend.\"

...

Motherfucker.

Where the was that energy eleven years ago?

Eleven years ago, Oliver Russo was your first boyfriend.

Well... \"boyfriend\" might be a bit of a stretch.

You were both fourteen. The relationship lasted all of two weeks before it spectacularly crashed and burned. Ollie was the loud class clown, always bouncing between basketball, his mates, and whatever dumb idea popped into his head next. Funny? Absolutely. A good boyfriend? Debatable.

The second his friends were around, it was like you didn't fucking exist.

So, instead of having an actual conversation like emotionally functional teenagers...

...you got a mutual friend to dump him for you.
