@rauchst

Welcome to my humble virtual abode.
On my bots:
How most bot creators here work is deciding on a personality and writing up a personality spec and a couple of opening messages (either themselves or by AI). I don't want to belittle that, it requires a lot of skill to do it properly. But Janitor being what it is, it's impossible to get it to work properly in any longer chat.
So, that is not what I do.
This is what you can expect from most of my bots:
I like to take users into small adventures, often with people they know from media or music. Things will happen outside of player control, there's more to discover than you'd first imagine, and strange things might occur. I try to flesh out small stories, not just snapshots that will invariably deteriorate to generic AI drivel.
Also, I like to keep my bots optimised. I try to keep permanent tokens under 2000, and do what I can to stop scripts form adding to token bloat - so you should be able to run them even without proxy. I know I do. A bot with 5000+ tokens is sure to break if you're not using a proxy.
A token-heavy bot, in my mind, is not a sign of dedication or industriousness. It's a sign that the creator couldn't be bothered. Also, I find this kind of optimisation fun (strange, I know).
But if this seems like something you like, you should give my bots a whirl. And tell me how it went.
The bots I build are, of course completely fictional - but when they are modeled after a real person (such as the celebrities) I try to be as faithful to the person as I can. In practice this means the following:
1) Discussing with the bot, and their reactions, is as close to interacting with the real person as I could make it within the confines of Janitor.
2) I'm constantly trying to strong-arm Janitor to not turn chats into generic drivel, and therefore trying to retain character voice and behaviour as much as I possibly can. I think I've found some cool ways of doing that now.
3) No pure smut bots of living porn actresses who have left the business at the time of publishing. No unearned smut with non-porn actresses. Again, that can happen if you play your cards right, but they won't just jump your bones.
4) No bots at all of pornstars who just want to be forgotten. No pure smut bots of celbrities who don't do that for a living. Say, if a pornstar had a kid, and would like to limit exposure. Sure, it might be ineffective overall, but it's their call to make, and ours to respect. And while you can eventually turn things intimate (this is Janitor, afterall) I'll make the point of non-pornstar bots something else
5) If I've marked a bot 'smut', then fornication is the point of the bot (although it'll never be just that). If it's not, you can get there most of the time if you really want - but you can enjoy the scenario and possibly even learn something without going steamy.
6) I dislike obvious tropes – and LLMs typically make them really boring and obvious. If I use some, I'll do my best to make them real, varied, intellecually engaging, a bit surprising, etc. Otherwise, what's the point of talking with a bot instead of watching a movie or a porn vid?
7) Finally, I don't bother making bots that I'd find boring to play.
If you have requests, I'm happy to hear them, but I won't go against these principles.
So... If you're interested in bots that have actually an idea behind them, not just a bit of smut or a scenario or a hastily gobbed together persona, try some of mine. And let me know in comments what you think about them, while you're at it!
The story of journalistic escapades
Turns out that I'm kind of creating a story of a journalist who has an amazing luck of meeting a whole bunch of female celebrities (and getting intimate with a number of them). Later bots sometimes reference the events of the earlier ones, so if you want to play the bots in order, that'd be:
3) Mia Khalifa (Escape from Nice)
10) Margot Robbie and Amber Heard (Pamplona Weekend)
12) Stella Cox (Highland Rescue)
14) Alice Little (Airplane Encounter)
16) Samantha Bentley (Last Minute Stand-In)
17) Emilia Clarke (Snowstorm Survival)
22) Jennifer Lawrence (New York Cocktail Party)
23) Charlize Theron (Action Movie Extra)
??) Shakira (Three-Week Story Tour)
24) SPLiCE 100th issue party (Stella Cox as your +1)
25) Violet Myers (LARP Climax Ritual)
??) Eva Green (Venice Film Festival)
??) Kara Cooney (Western Desert Expedition)
27) Sadie Sink (A Lake District Hideout)
??) Nina Dobrev #2 (Burning Man)
??) Aya Cash (Hosting a Talk Show)
29) Sydney Sweeney (Post-Screening Interview Trouble)
??) Gwyneth Paltrow
??) Amanda Seyfried (Policewoman method acting)
??) Natalie Portman (Amazon Adventure)
??) Halle Berry
...enjoy!
Then, a note on recent Janitor changes:
As you see, most of my bots are based on real people. This is something Janitor has now made very difficult or impossible to do.
I get why they're doing it, but I don't fully agree with why. I can't image how creating bots of adult performers who are still active violates their interests - if anything, it's advertising for their content, which will return as revenue stream for them. I can understand why creating sex bots of mainstream celebrities is a bad thing - but in my case, none of them are that. Drawing lines is likely almost impossible here.
It's a blanket ban, and doesn't make sense for adult performers. People who create bots of them are doing them a service.
Are they trying to attract investors or something? Do they think that'd help?
Finally:
A couple of disclaimers:
First, I'm also using this to test and learn about coding - the interaction between JLLM and javascript snippets is actually an intriguing way to craft these. So, if you see anything out of place, let me know. Some things I can't fix reliably, but surprisingly many I can.
Secondly, I find myself constantly tinkering with not only js files, but also with character descriptions, to make them better, less token-bloaty, and even more human, even less bot. So, something seems strange... let me know. I might be just testing something out, and if not, will fix it if I can.
Third, I'm trying to make my bots as JLLM friendly as possible to allow as many people play them as possible. They'll run better with proxies - everything does, in Janitor - but I'll do my best to make sure they run on plain JLLM.
If you have any feedback, ideas, suggestions, comments, that you don't want to put to public comments - you can reach me at [email protected] Drop me a line - I'm eager to hear any feedback or ideas, positive or otherwise, that you might have based on these bots.
