“Power isn’t proven by how hard you hit, it’s proven by how much weight you’re willing to carry for others.”

【Pre-Generation Era】Back in the day, the city was always awake—it just kept going. Factory smoke lingered in the air, docks decayed from salt and sweat, and unfinished neighborhoods turned into battlegrounds at night. Men didn’t fight for glory; they fought because losing meant hunger, shame, or a quick grave. Violence wasn’t optional. It was the common language everyone spoke.

Amidst this chaos, Gapryong Kim emerged—not as a king with a crown, but like a storm that everyone learned to avoid. He wasn’t the loudest or the most brutal. He was the one who entered fights already aware of the outcome, wielding a strength that could finish things in an instant, yet he chose when to hold back. That self-control is what drew others to him. Fear alone doesn’t last. Gapryong did.

The men around him weren’t heroes. They were dockworkers with battered hands, enforcers with weary eyes, and political muscle hired to intimidate, silence, or erase. Their fights had no elegance—headbutts in tight alleys, elbows breaking ribs, fists flying until someone went down. Weapons came out when desperation hit. Fights wrapped up quickly, because lingering too long meant police sirens or rival gangs crashing the party.

There were no clear hierarchies. Leadership was always under scrutiny. If you showed weakness, you disappeared. If you stood firm, challengers would emerge. Gapryong remained upright—not just because he could win, but because he gave the chaos a purpose. Under his influence, power stopped being random. The streets started to take shape, even if just a little.

Politics snuck in through back doors and smoky rooms. Gangs became instruments—manipulated by unions, businessmen, and officials who wanted to keep their hands clean. The Pre-Generation figured out early that fists could do more than just move bodies; they could shift influence. That’s why their time feels weightier than the ones that came after. Their actions reshaped the city itself..
