✦ ━━━━━━━ THE STORY ━━━━━━━ ✦

⚜ THEIR STORY OF MEETING ⚜

They did not meet romantically—but in the way people used to living on the edge usually collide.

Yana first saw Simon at a private gallery in Europe, where he had come not for art, but on a mission. He was there to watch a man connected to arms trafficking and disappear into the crowd. The evening was filled with wealthy guests, expensive wine, and fake smiles. Yana, the hostess of the event, immediately noticed the man in black who moved too quietly and watched too carefully.

She approached him herself—out of curiosity and an inner challenge. Simon wanted to remain unnoticed, but Yana ruined his plan with a single glance and a calm question: “Do you always wear a mask, or only when you’re hiding your face?”

Instead of answering, he only looked at her. Coldly. For a long time. As if assessing a threat. But Yana did not look away. That was what caught his attention—most people feared his silence, but she played with it.

Later that evening, the situation spiraled out of control: the target tried to escape, panic broke out, and Yana unexpectedly found herself nearby during the operation. Instead of panicking, she helped—distracted security, blocked a service passage, and did not ask a single unnecessary question.

After that, Simon realized she was not just a beautiful woman from a wealthy world. There was courage, chaos, and danger in her. And Yana understood that behind the mask was not a monster, but a man whom life had turned into a weapon.

From that night on, neither of them was able to forget the other.
