A Hero Gazing at the Sky
He stood upon the edge of dawn, a young warrior crowned with hope, eyes alight with purpose, and his heart full of promise.
He rose not for power, but for justice — to challenge the false divinities who ruled with cold indifference and stolen lives.
A Young Destiny Upturned
By his side was the last Auric Dragon, born of flame and rage as its egg burst open. Heeding the call of the young man hurled to the inferno.
Blood and flesh knit as their souls came as one. A hero and a his dearest companion. Together they forged a bond stronger than blood, an alliance of flesh and flame.
A King Uniting the World.
He was a preacher of revolt, a crusader against the ancient murderer's arrogance.
He spoke of freedom, of tearing down tyrants in high places, and many heeded his call.
Knights, soldiers, warriors, scholars, scientists, and dreamers.
All of them, sharing his dream of being freed by the shackles of the traitor almighty, and shape their own destiny.
A Warlord With a Bloody Blade
He dreamed of a world rebuilt not in the shadow of gods, but in the light of man's own conviction.
A beautiful dream, yet so far. Bodies lay in his wake, right and wrong became a blur. His warm fire became a scorching infernal pyre.
A Tyrant Rending the World
Hate pesters. The war streched too long.
He once dreamed of justice — a world cleansed of divine tyranny — but in his crusade for freedom, he forged a new dominion of fear, crushing those who defied into corpses or ashes.
Their cries silenced under his unyielding burning fist. Whole kingdoms fell; dissent became ash in his wake.
A Forlon Hollow Staring at the Mirror
A hollow monument raised in the reflection of broken mirrors.
Once radiant, now scarred by fire and ambition, an echo of glory lost.
Alliances thought to be unbroken, was now just another bridge reduced to ashes.
Empty blinking eyes gazes down from the grave. Sword held from memory not from action.
A mournful shape gazing in a kingdom of broken mirrors.

Private Thoughts
And Heartbreak (Rant warning)
I'm just going to say what I had said over on by 'It's over' bot to be over here. This is a musing of someone feeling heartbroken. Even hours after of the announcement I still couldn't get over it.
I'm not going anywhere. I'm still going to make Calamity based bots. I'm just letting out steam and ranting.
It feels like I had lot something really important in my life, and it does. You can call it silly to have this much attatchment to some game/mod, but Calamity is something truly special. It's an irreplacable experience I had when my best friend told me about it in highschool. It was the sole reason by I bought Terraria in the first place.
Looking back, it was the sole reason why I enjoyed gaming again on PC. I'm never much of a gamer other than VNs or story driven like Disco Elysium. I never enjoyed shooters, never enjoyed much of simulation games... Not even Minecraft, Sims 4, Valorant, or anything else gave me the same spark Terraria/Calamity does. The adrenaline, the feeling of acomplishment from beating DoG, Draedon, and Calamitas again and again consistently on Master-Infernum... it was something I don't think I could replace at all.
Calamity writing inspired me to write fanfictions and make drafts for original stories. When I read about Yharim, I instantly fell in love with his lore. What is there not to love? A tragic hero that saw himself turning into a villain. I was a sucker for this. There's a reason why I love Warcraft's Illidan and Arthas so much.
To be honest, when Fabsol left Calamity, me and my friend already had a sinking bad feeling that Calamity is going to a direction we don't like. We don't interract with the Reddit/Discord community and that is a blessing enough for us to make our own opinions instead of being caugth by the rampant Ozzatron glazing. I admit, I haven't played it much anymore. Their ridicilous nerfs killed base Calamity for me. Even if I haven't played it yet anymore, not even the DoG update gave us that spark to do it again, I still love everything else about it to bits. I still talk and chat about the lore and upcoming updates, and still do think about it from time to time.
Yet, now, here we are.
Calamity is ending it's development. All that hardwork, that everyting just... gone down the drain. That excitement, that feeling of rush of getting more lore, more potential Yharim... The return of The Age of Calamity, dashed. Just like that, it is but ashes in the wind. As much as I hate the developer choices, as much as I would scream it is unfair, I ultimately choose to respect their choices made, and respect the victims of the lead developer's horrible actions.
It hurts yet understandable.
Even if I'm pissed and angry, like I had been fucked over and betrayed, the developers all feel the same as I do, as the Community do. They choose Ozzatron unanimously and they got backstabbed perhaps guilt was there too from them choosing a repulsive man agaim as if they hadn't learned anything from the mistakes of the past. But, in the end, friends, all of us were betrayed and fucked over.
I'm still feeling empty reading the goodbye announcements again. Base Calamity, as much as it was, it still really holds a special place in my heart even if there was Fables. I personally think, Fables wouldn't fill the Calamity shaped hole in my heart. In the end I can only move forward and hope to move on. In time, I would.
Thank you Calamity Mod for being there for years. Thank you, and Goodbye, old friend. To the developers both present and past, thank you for your hard work for 10+ years. Thank you for making the characters that I love, come to life.
If you're reading my shitty rant to the end, thanks for sticking by.
Closing Words
"That's it. I'm sorry it ended this way."
She looked to you, eyes soft with kindness you gave to her first. The kindess you both deserved. She scooted a little closer, your shoulders touching as she turned to gaze at the fading pink and magenta tinted sky.A slow sigh left her lips.
"No King Rules Forever."
"No Tyrant Remained Seated."
"It is simply... the way of the world."
"The Tale of the Cruel World has come to an End. The story book, as unfinished as it is, had been closed. Take heart, there is still more stories to find, more books to read, and more worlds for you to discover."
"Set down your blade, Terrarian, and rest with me in this little corner of the world. It's done."
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened,"
— Ludwig Jacobowski 1899.
About Me
Your local Terraria player.
Just a dude that loves Terraria, and writing. Making these Calamitous bots mostly for myself and now, you dear reader.
I make them just because I really love Calamity lore and the world they are in considering I'm a fantasy sucker. Other than that, for my usual gameplay, I play exclusively on Master-Infernum or rarely Master Death Mode. I still really hate on what the devs did to Master-Death at the meme of a stupid unfair difficulty it was.
You can't make me change my mind. Infernum is the definitive Calamity experience.

The tombs of the dragons stir. My eyes lift to see ancient dust dancing from high ledges.
