Introducing janitor+ Router

Today, we’re launching janitor+ Router: a simpler, more integrated alternative to the third-party proxies many people already use with JanitorAI.

Router lets you access a wide range of third-party models directly through janitor, without copying API keys or configuring an external proxy. You can compare pricing and context limits, switch models, customize generation settings, and manage your balance, all in one place.

Right now, Router is only available to JLLM+ subscribers, and only available on web. Router will be coming to the mobile app soon.

For everyday roleplay and conversation, JLLM+ remains our recommended chat model. Router isn’t intended to replace it. It gives people more options while laying the groundwork for experiences that go beyond text chat.

Built for what comes next

At its core, Router is infrastructure for bringing more types of AI experiences into JanitorAI.

That includes multimodal capabilities, richer creator experiences, specialized models, and more agentic tools. Instead of building each experience around a different external provider or proxy, Router gives us a unified foundation for connecting them directly to JanitorAI.

The initial launch focuses on model access and generation controls, but the bigger goal is to make entirely new kinds of creation possible.
