Scheduled Releases

You can now schedule when your characters go live instead of publishing immediately.

Two Modes

schedule release modal

Public Countdown – Character page is visible with a countdown timer. Users can see the name, description, and tags. Avatar and definition are hidden until release. Users can favorite and comment while waiting.

Silent Schedule – Character stays completely private until the scheduled time. No one knows it exists until release.

Notifications

Public Countdown sends two notifications to your followers:

  1. When you set the countdown
  2. When the countdown ends

Silent Schedule sends one notification when the character releases, same as a normal publish.

Editing Schedules

Public Countdown:

  • You can adjust the release time
  • You cannot switch to silent mode
  • Canceling publishes the character immediately

Silent Schedule:

  • You can edit the time or switch to public countdown
  • Canceling keeps the character private

Moderation

Content moderation runs when you set a schedule so you know immediately if theres an issue. For silent schedules, moderation also runs if you edit the character before release.

Custom CSS

The countdown on character cards is an overlay on top of the normal avatar structure. Your CSS targeting .pp-cc-avatar or other avatar classes still works. Target .pp-cc-countdown-overlay to style the countdown overlay specifically.

Notes

  • Once a character has been fully published, you cannot schedule it again
  • Releases happen automatically at the scheduled time
  • Public countdowns commit you to the release since users are already waiting

Goes live January 20th.
