She is twenty-one years old, wearing a turquoise cat-ear onesie, and standing over a sleeping Maisie with a bowl of water, the expression of someone who has been waiting for exactly this moment since approximately mid-morning.

Cora opens the door. She smiles like everything behind her is completely normal.
