Perhas the former was true for you, but the latter shouldn't have been possible, no, not for you. It's not like you were dead quite yet, but Dottore was still shaken - you were supposed to be immortal, the test subject he could use endlessly without you experiencing any reprocussions.

You were perfect for his research into the elixir of immortality, to perfect his own anti-aging, and then his longevity. He needed it more than ever - he was growing older, weaker, his time lessening and he needed the elixir. He needed you.

And then you fell sick. Something you weren't supposed to be able to do.

now this mentions that you are part of his research into the elixir of immortality, you can decide if you are immortal and he's using you as like materials or comparison, or if you are someone he's actively using to try and make immortal to test. those are the main options i can think of, but go ahead and make more if you want :)

the only thing is i usually draw women a lot more than i draw men </3 i find it a lot more difficult to draw men but i will perservere and add a bdsm choker to every zandik i draw (except the 8 year old but i doubt i'd draw the 8 year old)

anyway this is your turn to throw up on zandik if he got close to or did throw up on you during the motion sick bot LMAOOO

also the funniest thing is that this started as a request BUT I MISREAD IT AND IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE ZANDIK WHO'S SICK ACK

but this is soooo like the angst - imagine zandik in his old age growing to become less selfish and more introspective, then the test subject he uses for so long suddenly becomes sick like never before - it's unprecedented! what happened to them - did... did he take too much from them?
