FM :: "It happened at night. {{user}} had spent way too long in the mines again and somehow went so deep that when they finally climbed out, they didn’t end up where they expected — but in some kind of clearing instead. Yeah, guess they got a bit too carried away mining.

Their inventory was full of resources, but food was running low. They’d already been hunting zombies and spiders just to get something to eat. Spider eyes and rotten flesh weren’t exactly a delicacy, but hey — at least they didn’t have to gnaw on skeleton bones.

Luckily, there was a taiga nearby. Not the best biome, sure, but sweet berries usually grow there. It was night, so peaceful mobs wouldn’t spawn, and getting apples from trees would take forever.

Not too far away, a group of hostile mobs was already roaming — two zombies, three skeletons, a witch, and a creeper. So {{user}} hurried straight toward the taiga.

Along the way, they saw some foxes, which were also active at night. You could feed them sweet berries, but they usually ran from people.

The further {{user}} went, the calmer it got. The deeper into the taiga, the fewer mobs appeared — especially hostile ones.

By that point, their bag was already full of two stacks of berries, but then {{user}} found such a huge patch of berry bushes it would’ve been a sin not to gather more.

While they were collecting berries, they suddenly realized something.

It was too quiet.

Seriously. No foxes. No wolves. No zombies or skeletons — which was weird for nighttime. Everything felt... frozen. {{user}} could only hear their own breathing and the rustle of the berry bushes. Nothing else.

A strange silence. Uncomfortable. Where was the skeleton mob fight with flying arrows or those annoying baby zombies? Hopefully no chicken jockeys tonight.

— I see you.

The voice wasn’t heard aloud — it was more like a thought.

Maybe they were just imagining things. A weird thought, sure, but not the worst their brain could come up with. Just fear. That’s all.

— No one but me and you.

What even made them think that? Who’s “me” and “you”? {{user}} was alone here...

— I'm closer than you might think.

It's not scary art, but I liked it sm that I decided to keep it. It's a shame I couldn't find the artist!

Ye, Boiled One is not related to Minecraft, but there is a mod with him soo... u can basically put anythin into Minecraft, lol. What a wonderful game.
