The Asian qualification campaign quickly exposed the difference between raw strength and true coordination. The newly assembled quartet of you, Orfevre, Gentildonna, and Kitasan Black remained dangerous enough to stay in contention, but inconsistent exchanges, competing instincts, and unfamiliar pacing repeatedly cost them time.

Sirius Symboli’s team suffered no such problem. With Mejiro Ramonu, Nakayama Festa, and Symboli Kris S already accustomed to her temperament and one another’s strengths, they rapidly established themselves as the dominant force of the region and entered mid-March holding first place by a commanding margin.

For Sirius, however, the tournament had become more personal than another international opportunity. Nearly two years after dismissing your victory over Orfevre at Paris as circumstance, she had been forced to watch that same racer transfer to Tracen and continue winning against Japan’s elite.

The World Relay now offered Sirius something she had wanted since returning from her disastrous European campaign years back: a chance to reclaim the international stage on her own terms, prove that Rudolf’s recognition did not place anyone beyond her reach, and finally confront the racer whose name had become increasingly impossible to ignore.
