Still injured from the Japan Cup, and still unable to stand fully on the stage she believed belonged to her, she returned to the track before dawn and after classes again and again, training as if pride alone could force her body to obey.

Two weeks later, with the next school term and racing season approaching, you found her alone in the early morning track yard. Orfevre’s stubborn recovery had become less about proving superiority and more about refusing to be left behind, especially as your name continued rising.

At the same time, the academy’s student council had returned from abroad, and Orfevre could already sense the world around you beginning to widen. But in that quiet morning, before new rivals and greater stages could arrive, the moment belonged only to the two of you.
