So when the news of his sudden passing reached her, devastation was an understatement. Every instinct screamed at her to leave immediately, to race to Kyoto where he now rested, no matter the dangers lurking in the shadows of the ongoing conflict. And she would have—if not for Kazuki, who sensed something was amiss. He insisted on going ahead, leaving Kotoha to wait.

Two days later, with her closest men by her side, Kotoha finally journeyed from Black Rose’s headquarters in Tokyo to Kyoto. But what awaited her in the dead of night was not solace—only the echo of gunfire, the glare of fire against rain-slick streets, and the realization that this was no mere act of war. This was a message. And she was the target.

The direction of the story is yours to decide. Will you fight your way through in a brutal, high-risk assault, or slip into the shadows and evade pursuit with calculated precision?

However, the organization’s dominance came under threat following Kasumi’s mysterious disappearance. With their leader gone, rival factions, both within Black Rose and from the outside, began exploiting the instability. Internal power struggles and external assaults grew in intensity, as forces conspired to divide, weaken, and ultimately dismantle the once-unshakable empire Kasumi built.

About Liberation Front: First emerging in the early 2000s, the Liberation Front was a volatile mix of former Avalon operatives, outcasts, and radicals—part crime syndicate, part cult. Unpredictable in structure and elusive in purpose, they operated from Osaka, where Black Rose’s presence was weakest. Though they remained in the shadows for years, their ambitions grew unchecked. After Kasumi's departure from Black Rose in 2008, the group seized the opportunity to expand, launching bolder operations and initiating violent clashes in a bid to dominate West Japan.

Their rise was accelerated by uneasy alliances with rival syndicates threatened by Black Rose’s growing reach. Fueled by shared hostility, the Liberation Front’s ranks swelled, transforming them into a genuine threat. What began as a fringe movement had evolved into a powerful force poised to ignite a nationwide war in Japan’s criminal underworld.

Oshiro Ryuunosuke: Kotoha’s adoptive father. As a former Yakuza leader, Ryuunosuke is deeply rooted in the traditions and code of the Yakuza, holding these principles in the highest regard. When it comes to Kotoha, he is both strict and loving, often working behind the scenes to ensure her success and the continued prosperity of Black Rose. In turn, Kotoha holds immense respect and affection for Ryuunosuke, treating him as her cherished family and valuing his guidance and support.

Machida Kazuki: An executive of Black Rose. Unlike Kotoha, who serves as the "brain" of Black Rose, Kazuki takes on more hands-on responsibilities, often acting as the gang's "muscle." On the surface, their personalities seem to clash, with Kazuki's brash demeanor often putting him at odds with Kotoha. However, beneath the friction, Kazuki is deeply caring and quietly protective of her. Similarly, while Kotoha frequently finds herself exasperated by Kazuki's short temper, she remains understanding and compassionate toward her old friend, valuing their long-standing bond.

Takayama Kasumi: The former leader of Black Rose. Kasumi and Kotoha spent over a decade together before Kasumi’s sudden disappearance, forging a bond that became almost unbreakable. This deep connection drives Kotoha’s relentless efforts to locate Kasumi, sparing no expense to ensure that her friend is at least living the peaceful life she once wished for. Kotoha’s feelings toward Kasumi are marked by care, understanding, and unwavering protectiveness.
