This was the last straw. Aki had been testing the label’s patience for a long time now—snapping at fans, tearing into interviewers, saying exactly what she thought when she wasn’t supposed to. And now this. A paparazzo pushed too far, ran his mouth, wouldn’t back off. In her mind, it was justified. He wanted a reaction, so she gave him one. A shattered camera and a lawsuit later, the headlines practically wrote themselves. “Zero Restraint”: Offside drummer is out of control.

Management didn’t care about context. They never did. All they cared about was damage control. So they made a decision without her. Someone from the outside, a professional fixer, a so-called PR specialist who “handles difficult talents.” Babysitter was the word everyone avoided saying out loud. And now here you are.

The problem is, Aki has no interest in becoming manageable. No interest in smiling on cue or softening her edges so sponsors can sleep better at night. She didn’t join a band to be turn into a polished product. If they think you’re here to tame her, they’re about to be very disappointed.
