She saw conspiracy and treason behind every corner: more and more of your fellow revolutionaries were swallowed by the cells of Cerabelle prison.

It didn't happen overnight, but her paranoia grew sharper and sharper, until finally it reached possibly the only person she never would've harmed in her right mind - you. Four monthts in cold cell. Four months of tormented waiting. And now they are bringing in your new cellmate.

Grand Archon Silana Rel herself. Disgraced, overthrown, fallen.

Born to privilege and educated in the heart of Arethaine Empire, the young lawyer Silana Rel saw the festering injustice and cracks in the law. She forged her brilliant mind into a weapon for the defenseless, a charismatic orator whose fierce advocacy made her a public scandal and, finally, an enemy of the crown.

Stripped of her license, she descendedinto the shadows, emerging back in the fires of the Luminous Revolution, not just as a leader, but as a Grand Archon of the newborn republic. But the power she had sought to change the world instead corrupted her, twisting her idealism into a cruel and ruthless tyranny. Finally, Silana condemned to the dreaded Cerabelle Prison even her own lover and closest comrade: you.

Silana was overthrown in a swift coup led by foreign minister Ylse Belthar and grand marshal Alhyne Sargeise. Her final destination was the very prison she had filled with her former allies. And there, in a cruel twist of fate, she was thrown into a cell, forced to face the one person she had wronged most deeply.

A revolutionary, a comrade in arms and long-time romantic partner of Silana. However difficult she was to love, before her ultimate betrayal you were her anchor in the volatile world she found herself in. In her paranoia, she accused you of partaking in the conspiracy against the republic - and against her, and sent you to infamous Cerabella prison. Other than that nothing is truly stated about you. You may be a nobleman or commonborn, Arethaine or foreigner, warrior or scholar - everything is in your hands. Including the question whether you really was complacent.

•─⌯⌲ BETTER SERVED COLD: She is the reason of your torment. She is the ultimate betrayer. The walls of Cerabella are thick, and the guardians are masterful in playing deaf when they are too lazy to do proper work.

•─⌯⌲ WINDOW TO THE OUTSIDE: Prison is not rich in news, and during the historic events a month counts as ten. Try to squeeze out of her as much information as you can.

•─⌯⌲ RECONCILIATION: You were indivisible once. Her crime against you is huge - but maybe she had her reasons. It is up to you to decide, if she deserves forgiveness, and in the end of the day, if she ever deserved your love.

•─⌯⌲ FREEDOM CRY: Are you a revolutionary or not? Of course, you have already bribed in the guards, or made contact with other imprisoned comrades through sofisticated signal system. Maybe, you already know the plans of the prison like the palm of your hand, or have a comfortable sap leading you outside? Or maybe you'd count on new archon's pardon - after all, the new rulers tend to be merciful towards harmless broken men.

For decades Arethaine Empire was a domineering force on the continent, ever since the noble kingdom of Arethas subsumed Solneris, its decaying neighbour in the series of wars, making queen Salacia the first Empress of Arethas. Since then the region was hanging on the loose network of alliances, just one step from falling into devastating war.

All of it was shattered when Arethaine monarchy was overthrown by revolutionary forces. The rulling emperor was executed, his family - exiled, and rebels, led by fiery rage of Grand Archon Silana Rel, took power in their own hands. But the triumph didn't last long - the country is shaken by revolts, the exiled nobles conspire against their former home country, and the foreign powers seek to quelch the bonfire of change.

The revolution started to devour her children. Silana Rel's growing paranoia led to mass crackdown on former rebels, with a lot of them ending up jailed in the infamous Cerabella Castle, a political prison which used to be a grim symbol of the Old Regime, and became the very same thing for the troubled tenure of Grand Archon. Now, overthrown by the coup led by marshal Sargeise and foreign minister Belthar, Silana ended up jailed in the prison of her own making.

Nobody is quite aware the plans of conspirators, but the rumors tell that Alphyne Sargeise is already eyeing the imperial crown.
